History

After searching through the net for a reader for CHM files, i was frustrated.

So i have compiled a program that will convert your CHM files to iSilo PDB, so that they can be easily read with iSilo PDB reader!

System Requirements

  • Windows XP or above
  • IsiloX (Html to PDB converter, google for it and install it on PC)
  • CHM files to convert

Usage

Usage is pretty straightforward.

  • Run CHM2PDBConvert.exe.
  • Fill in the required feilds.
  • Hit “GO”
  • Copy/Sync the resultant PDB file to your handheld or mobile.

Tips & Tricks

If you want to change the settings of the Html to PDB conversion by iSiloX, make a backup of  “template.ixl” file in the root folder of this converter program and then edit template.ixl file in XML Notepad 2007! (Free download from Microsoft website, or just google for it)!

I think this software is amazing!
I have been creating pdb files from CHM files by using CHM decoder followed by iSiloX.
But I can not achieve the results that your software achieves.

The program is great! I wonder if is there a template edit so that the resulting PDB file doesn’t the TOC fully expanded but open each secondary toc titles (expands) only after clicking it (this would be great since now my TOC page is very large with all groups / titles expanded). Thank’s for the great work you’ve done.

Great program. Thanks. But is there a template edit that the TOC page to not have all titles / groups fully expanded at startup, but to open / expand each title only after clicking it? Now all my PDB files have huge TOC pages that I have to scroll down to get where I want…it would be easier to allow expanding of every topic / title only after clicking it. Anyway very nice work!

may be possible if allowed by isilo.. try creating a new template in iSiloX..
